District 196 is accepting applications for positions on its Equity Advisory Council (EAC), including three parent/guardians, three at-large community members, six student representatives and four District 196 teachers.
District 196 School Board members narrowed their search for a new superintendent to three finalists after interviewing five candidates April 13.

The four-year graduation rate for District 196 students as a whole increased slightly in 2023, from 88.5% in 2022 to 88.7%, and was 5.4% higher than the statewide rate, according to graduation data released by the Minnesota Department of Education on March 28.
Three Destination ImagiNation (DI) teams from two District 196 schools had top finishes at the state tournament March 2 and qualified to compete at the DI Global Finals in Kansas City, Mo. May 22-25.
