Volunteer

Join us in our work! Are you interested in helping adults improve their skills so they can move ahead in their jobs, prepare for further education or enhance their daily lives? Consider volunteering in our Adult Basic Education | ABE classrooms. Meet new people from your community and work with them as they build literacy skills and achieve their goals.

Morning and evening positions are available in Apple Valley. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to make a difference in the lives of adult learners!

  • No experience is necessary
  • Free training provided
  • Time commitment is two to three hours per week
  • We strongly encourage volunteers who are people of color, indigenous, immigrants and refugees, LBGTQ+ and people with disabilities

Volunteers help in many ways, including

  • Assisting in a classroom
  • Teaching or co-teaching
  • Tutoring one-to-one
