Rain Barrels Made Easy (Go Green)
Description:
Collect and store rain water from your roof with a rain barrel. Lawns and gardens consume 40% of household water use during summer. Rain barrels have stored water for when you need it most. It is free soft water containing no chlorine, lime or calcium making it ideal for gardens. Learn the environmental and economic benefits of rain barrels. Construct and take home a 60 gallon rain barrel (four feet high and two feet in diameter) to use in your yard. Bring to class a notebook and a diagram of where the rain barrel will be located. Drive a vehicle that can transport the barrel. P>
